Kraken portfolio tracker

Kraken is a crypto exchange run by Payward, Inc. since 2011, with spot, margin, futures and staking products. RatioNexFlow reads a Kraken account two ways: a read-only API key, or the Ledger export file.

Kraken's own apps show balances, a portfolio value chart and, on Kraken Pro, cost basis and P&L per asset. RatioNexFlow puts the Spot and Futures accounts next to your other exchanges and wallets, keeps the price history, computes the portfolio's risk measures and watches your alerts. It only reads with your key: create the key without trading or withdrawal rights, and confirm that when you connect.

FeatureStateDetail
Live sync with a read-only key (Pro, beta)YesKraken Spot and Kraken Futures, each with its own key. The Spot key needs only Query Funds, Query Closed Orders & Trades and Query Ledger Entries; every Trade, Deposit, Withdraw and Earn permission stays off. Syncs run on their own; a large account backfills over several syncs, because Kraken allows one history call about every six seconds.
Statement importYesThe Ledger export (CSV, or the .zip of older exports) is detected and parsed in your browser: deposits, trades, fees, staking rewards and transfers. The Trades export is read too, but it leaves out rewards and transfers. Kraken Futures has its own CSV, also detected.
Manual entryYesAdd any holding or trade by hand on the Manual Entry tab.
PricesYesPortfolio prices come from Kraken's public spot market data, refreshed every minute while the app is open; dYdX and Hyperliquid price the coins Kraken does not list.
Staking and Earn rewardsYesRead from the ledger, so reward income shows in the dashboard and in the tax CSV.
Kraken Futures positionsPartlyOpen positions are shown as exposure and are not added to spot holdings; fills feed Time Analysis.
Threat ProtectionYesEvery token in the account that RatioNexFlow can resolve on-chain is screened, and no coin is exempt: a coin in CoinGecko's top 250 with no token contract on a supported chain is read from its market figures, and a major coin (top 20 by market value, at least 5 years of price history, at least $100 million traded a day) keeps its full result with its score capped at low.
Price alertsYesPrice and % change alerts, checked about every minute: an in-app toast, with sound and a system notification on Pro. Free has one active alert.
Portfolio Analytics (Pro)YesEquity curve, drawdown, time- and money-weighted returns, concentration, Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar, VaR, CVaR and beta against BTC from your Kraken daily balances and Kraken closing prices.
Tax CSV (Pro)PartlyA CSV of closed trades and reward income. Not a tax report and no country forms.

How to get your Kraken portfolio in

  1. In Kraken, open Settings → API → Create API key. Use a new key for RatioNexFlow; never reuse one another app already uses, because Kraken nonces are per key.
  2. Enable only Query Funds, Query Closed Orders & Trades and Query Ledger Entries. Leave every Trade, Deposit, Withdraw and Earn permission off. Optionally set an expiry; IP allow-listing is not possible, because our servers use dynamic addresses.
  3. In RatioNexFlow, open Connect Exchange, pick Kraken (Spot), paste the API key and private key, confirm the key is read-only and sync.
  4. Kraken Futures is a separate product: create a Read Only key at futures.kraken.com under Settings → API Keys and connect Kraken Futures the same way.
  5. Without a key: in Kraken Pro click the profile icon → Documents → Create export, choose Ledger, set a start date before your first deposit and an end date of today, pick CSV and create it. When the download icon appears, save the file and drop it on the Imports & Intel tab. Re-importing a later export adds only what is new.

Not yet

  • The live connection is in beta: compare the synced counts with Kraken and tell us if anything is off.
  • Kraken's API lets one history call through about every six seconds, so the first sync of a long history takes several rounds.
  • E-mail and push alerts are planned, not available.
