RatioNexFlow vs CoinTracker

CoinTracker is a crypto portfolio tracker and tax-reporting service from Nino Finance, Inc. in San Francisco, founded 2017. It connects to exchanges, wallets and blockchains with read-only access, calculates cost basis and gains, and produces tax forms on annual paid plans priced by transaction count.

RatioNexFlow is a crypto portfolio tracker that shows the risk inside a portfolio, not only its value. It connects to exchanges with read-only keys or reads a statement file, holds no funds, never trades and never advises. CoinTracker is described below from its own pages; the numbered sources at the foot of this page are what each cell rests on.

Where they differ

  • CoinTracker is tax software first: Form 8949, Schedule D, TurboTax and country reports, priced by the year's transaction count. RatioNexFlow has no tax report, only a CSV of closed trades and reward income.
  • CoinTracker connects to about 600 exchanges, wallets and blockchains. RatioNexFlow connects to 16 exchanges, reads 12 statement formats and 6 wallet chains.
  • Neither keeps custody of funds. CoinTracker swaps tokens from a connected self-custody wallet for US customers; RatioNexFlow never executes anything.
  • CoinTracker's analytics are value and return charts; it names no portfolio risk measure. RatioNexFlow's Portfolio Analytics (Pro) adds drawdown, concentration, Sharpe, Sortino, VaR and CVaR with the method stated.
  • CoinTracker screens for spam tokens only. RatioNexFlow's Threat Protection runs contract, liquidity and holder rules on tokens it can resolve on-chain.
  • CoinTracker's paid plans run from $59 to $999 a year in US dollars by transaction volume; RatioNexFlow Pro's list price is €29 a month or €290 a year at any volume, with the first 30 days free while Pro is on sale.

Places trades or swapsNoNever trades, swaps or withdraws. Every connection is read-only; there is nothing to execute.PartlyNo fiat purchases and no orders on exchanges. A tax-loss harvesting tool (US customers) swaps tokens in a connected self-custody wallet through decentralised exchanges from inside CoinTracker, for a routing fee plus gas; assets on centralised exchanges cannot be swapped.[21][1]
Exchange connections by APIPartly16 exchanges with read-only keys, on Pro, in beta: Kraken, Kraken Futures, Bybit, OKX, Binance, Coinbase Advanced, KuCoin, Bitget, Crypto.com Exchange, Bitstamp, Bitvavo, Gemini, Bitfinex, MEXC, Gate, HTX.YesAn integrations directory of 604 entries on 24 October 2026 (459 exchanges, 69 wallets, 76 blockchains); the site says 500+ integrations and the app listings 400+ exchanges. Connections are read-only; some exchanges sync by API, others by CSV upload, and the count of API syncs is not stated.[5][1][25]

Analytics are value and return based: current value, unrealised and realised gains, total-return and unrealised-return charts, per-asset breakdown (Prime and above), allocation. No drawdown, volatility, correlation, Sharpe or VaR figure is described.[10][23][6]
Per-token risk screeningYesThreat Protection, in beta: 17 rules on contract permissions, trading tax, liquidity against market value, pools and holder concentration, on tokens it can resolve on-chain, read from GoPlus, DexScreener and CoinGecko. No coin is exempt: a coin in CoinGecko's top 250 with no token contract on a supported chain is read from its market figures, and a major coin (top 20 by market value, at least 5 years of price history, at least $100 million traded a day) keeps its full result with its score capped at low. Results are kept for up to 6 hours and checked again in the background; it is not a live detector and does not guarantee to detect any hack or scam.PartlySpam-token detection only: unsolicited airdrop tokens are hidden automatically from a list of 1.5 million spam tokens updated daily, and can be marked on the Account health page. No honeypot, contract or holder screening is described.[17]
AlertsPartlyPrice and % change alerts, checked about every minute: an in-app toast on any page, with sound and a system notification on Pro. Free has 1 active alert. E-mail and push are planned, not available.PartlyThe features page says price alerts can be set, but no help article describes them or their channels. Documented: daily portfolio e-mails, mobile push for sync problems and tax-loss events, and suspicious sign-in e-mails.[4][18][19]

It answers from synced data about balances, cost basis, gains, transactions and tax summaries; read-only except for adding a wallet; free on every plan during the beta, with more detail on paid plans. The pricing page also lists an AI support agent on paid plans.[6][22][23]
TaxPartlyA CSV export of closed trades and reward income (Pro). No tax report and no country forms.YesIts core feature. US Form 8949 and Schedule D with TurboTax, H&R Block and TaxAct; Canada Schedule 3; country forms for Germany and Australia; reports for the UK, Spain, Italy, Brazil and Portugal; generic gain and income reports elsewhere. Downloadable forms need a paid plan, which covers every past year.[24][1]
NFTs and DeFi positionsNoNot tracked.YesDeFi transactions (pools, lending, borrowing, staking, bridges) categorised on every plan across EVM chains and Solana; from Prime up, positions appear in the portfolio view. NFTs are tracked alongside.[1][10]
Stocks, cash and other assetsNoCrypto only.NoCrypto only. In 2026 the company launched a separate service, Nino, for investments, cash, property and retirement planning.[3]
PlatformsPartlyWeb app that installs on a phone or desktop (PWA). No app-store apps.YesWeb, iOS (iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision) and Android. No desktop application.[25][26]

Trade ideas or ratingsNoNone. RatioNexFlow measures and flags; it never tells you what to do.PartlyNo trade ideas or ratings; the Terms and Disclaimer call its information informational only. It does flag tax-loss harvesting opportunities and offers the swap tool to act on them.[7][9][1]
Data and privacyYesData in Supabase Postgres in London, UK (eu-west-2), encrypted at rest and isolated per user. No data sales and no advertising. If you turn on Ask, each question and a redacted portfolio summary also go to Anthropic.PartlyPersonal data may be stored outside the EEA and UK, including in the United States, under adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses; no hosting region is named. It collects e-mail, wallet addresses and transaction history, not name or home address; the app listings cite SOC 1 and SOC 2.[8][25]

What RatioNexFlow does not do

  • No app-store apps: it is a web app you can install on a phone or desktop.
  • No NFT or DeFi-protocol position tracking.
  • No tax report: only a CSV of closed trades and reward income.
  • No stocks, cash or other assets: crypto only.
  • Live exchange connections are in beta and cover 16 exchanges; statement import covers 12. Anything else is manual entry.
  • E-mail and push alerts are planned, not available.
  • Threat Protection reads a coin in CoinGecko's top 250 with no token contract on a supported chain from its market figures only, does not check a coin it cannot find on a supported chain or in CoinGecko's top 250, caps a major coin's score at low, and is not a live detector.

What we could not find on CoinTracker's site

  • Where CoinTracker hosts its data: the Privacy Policy names no region or provider, only that data may be stored outside the EEA and UK.
  • How price alerts work and which channels carry them: the features page mentions them, the help centre has no article.
  • How many of the 604 integrations sync by API rather than by CSV upload.
  • Whether the swap tool is offered outside the United States.
